Why should I choose made to order?
Made to order gives you the ability to customize your garment by choosing details like fabric color, trim options and the hem length – or even pockets. And, it’s more environmentally friendly. Because each item is made one at a time using only the materials necessary, there is less waste in manufacturing. Not only that, but we make our garments here in the United States to ensure good working conditions and a living wage. We’ve also teamed up with a fabric reseller, Queen of Raw, for fabric pieces we can’t use in the future to avoid sending them to the landfill.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Once your order is placed we immediately begin making your items with our seamstresses and garment manufacturing partners, here in the USA. Due to current supply chain and shipping conditions, orders usually ship within 4 to 6 weeks. Special Orders may take an additional one to two weeks. We will send you an email keeping you updated and to let you know when your order ships. We promise it will be worth the wait!  And, we hope to be able to offer shorter lead times again soon.

Where are Bespoke Southerly garments made?
All of our garments are made to order in the USA. We only work with domestic artisans and manufacturers who take pride in their work and are just as excited about our mission as we are. Why? Because not only do we believe in supporting domestic employment, good working conditions and a living wage, but quality is of the utmost importance to us. In fact, our founder personally checks every garment before we ship to you. We want you to be 100% happy with your Bespoke Southerly piece, and cherish it for years to come.

Can I get a made to measure dress?
We can offer any hem length in one-inch increments but are not currently offering full made to measure. Our partners are diligently working on a system to allow made to measure. However, we currently believe alterations and tailoring are done best with the customer present and we suggest if your dress does not fit you exactly the way you want, you have your tailor make alterations to your dress for the perfect fit. If you are unsure of your size based on the size chart measurements, grab your measuring tape and email us! Please! We know our styles inside and out and would love to help.

What if I don’t see my size?
Please contact us at customerservice@bespokesoutherly.com for Special Order information to see if we can accommodate your size request. Our plan is to add additional sizes in the future but in the meantime, we will do our best to make your size available on a Special Order basis.

What sort of quality can expect?
We have a stellar team making your garment. Our patternmaker creates the patterns for couture collections of several of the most respected high-end designers in the world. We then have experts digitally grade the patterns of each garment to each size for optimal fit. Our domestic artisans and manufacturers are highly skilled and use couture sewing techniques to create well made pieces. Making a garment one at a time allows for closer inspection during each step to ensure it is made to the highest standards. Seriously – it will be the best made piece in your closet!

Can you help me choose my fabric and colors?
When choosing your fabric and your color keep in mind that screen resolution can enhance or dull the texture of the fabric or the colors on a webpage. Fabric swatches are available so you can see our collection of fabric and colors before you order if you are unsure which to choose. Except for black, your fabric color needs to be ordered so those items will take a little longer to make – usually about an additional week to two weeks and are considered Special Order items. Why are most of your dresses made of silk?
The beauty and luxury of real silk is unparalleled. It has a depth and sheen that cannot be duplicated by synthetic fabrics. It also keeps you naturally cool when it is warm and naturally warm when it is cool – so you stay more comfortable, no matter what the temperature. Great for dancing the night away! It is also the strongest natural fiber available and takes dye well, so we can offer many rich colors for you to choose. Our silks are imported from France, Italy and Asia. We have recently added an Italian Stretch Satin that is not silk to our fabric options for those customers that want a little stretch.

What if I need to make a change to my order?
As soon as you place your order, your item(s) begin the production process. If you need to update color, size, or style selections you MUST do so within 24 HOURS. Please double check your order before checking out and again when you receive your e-mailed invoice. You can contact us at customerservice@bespokesoutherly.com to request a change or a cancellation with your request and order number within 24 hours.

What if my item arrives damaged?
Each item is checked by multiple people for quality before being shipped to you. However, if your item arrives damaged, contact us at customerservice@bespokesoutherly.com and we will resolve the issue right away!

What is a Special Order?
A Special Order would include all custom colors, sizes beyond those listed on the product pages as well as any other special requests not offered as standard options. Contact us at customerservice@bespokesoutherly.com to ask if we can accommodate your size, a specific color, or any other special requests. Special Orders will take longer to make – usually about an additional week to two weeks. Please note that Special Orders are not returnable.

How do I care for my Bespoke Southerly garment?
Dresses are made of pure silk or silk blend and luxury fabrics, including the lining. For that reason, all dresses are dry clean only.
