How to Dress for Your Body Type and Look Great

If you’re shopping for a dress as an investment piece, you want to choose a style that will make you feel confident every time you wear it. So how do you know which style to choose? By identifying your body shape and learning which looks flatter your favorite assets! Keep reading for our guide on how to dress for your body type.

Pear Shaped Body Type

Also known as a triangle shape, women with a pear shape typically have narrower shoulders in comparison to their hips. If you have a pear shaped body type, you may also have a fuller rear and a waist that’s narrower than your bust.

The key to dressing for your shape is elongating the body by drawing the eye upward with pieces that highlight your waist, back or neckline. When shopping for dresses, look for embellished necklines, belted waists, and A-line or fit-and-flare skirts.
